Ten People Of My Year 2013

One year is such a long time but it seems to be so fast! One day from now, it's gonna be the start of a new year for all of us -- well, at least for my side of the world, haha! Each year, we all probably have known people who have touched our lives in little or big ways or have influenced our lifestyle. They may be people who we know and who are close to us or they may be those we admire but who never really know us in the first place.

TIME magazine declared Pope Francis as the Person of the Year 2013 while I have to say that the real people of my year are my family and dearest friends and I need not explain why. :)

My family always makes it to my list every year, this time I'm going to have a list  including people who may not know that they've been a part of my journey simply because they don't know me at all! Is that even possible? Of course! Haha. Pope Francis became the Person of the Year but he really doesn't know all of us right? But we are in his heart. Ok, so same logic. Lol!

Without further ado, these are the people (in no particular order) who made my life real and crazy at the same time but in a nice sort of way! Haha. Friends, it's my pleasure to introduce to you...

Sanrio Mariz

She's been my best friend since high school and we haven't seen each other for 5 years now but we still communicate. I love how she transformed from being a cry-baby into a more responsible woman, who still cries of course but all for the best reasons. She's one tough girl and I admire her for having all the courage and strength to surpass whatever she's been through in her life as a wife and as a mom. I miss being with her. Hope we can spend some time together soon!

Beans

When we're down and we just want to talk about anything random in life, we always have a go-to person and Beans is exactly that. He's been my best friend since college and although we don't see each other that often, there's that feeling that anytime, anywhere, he's just a text away. May it be about your Pag-ibig loan concerns, haha, or just about anything under the sun! No pressure, no worries, no stress. I can just laugh my heart out!

 Alic and Makoy

So you may ask why they have to be bundled, right? Haha. Although I know they both have their own unique personalities, I'd like to put them together as one in this case. This is mainly because both played an awesome role in my work life. Our job is really work and most of the time, the three of us think of it that way, don't we guys? But with these two, my job gets easier and fun at the same time!

They are these people at work who I really trust and admire -- Alic, for his very laid-back personality and Makoy, for his strong but not arrogant personality. They both make me sane at work and I love that I can talk with them anytime I need to. I always look forward to our downtimes and chika moments! Haha! And lastly, they are just two of a few from work that I consider true friends. :)

 Mommy Tere

She used to be my teammate at work and almost became my teammate again after she left our company. She's been my mentor, my friend, and my guide. Most of the things I learned about work was from her and I'm very thankful to be mentored and influenced by a very hard-working and committed person. She's a great mom and a great confidante! She's the perfect example of "if there's a will, there's a way.." This was probably our last photo together before she left the company.

 Shee and Fred

They need to be bundled too! Haha. These people are my previous teammates but I can say that we've formed lasting friendships. They're both generous of their time and resources and I'm very thankful that they were there for me when I needed help with making decisions about my career and family. And before I forget, we formed the so-called bloggers' society in the office! Haha, funny I know.

There was a time when we really had nothing to do at work (ehem!) so we busied ourselves with blogging and bloghopping. Shee, in particular, influenced me to update my blog more and so I decided to customize my blog and write more posts. They've been my avid readers and commenters too but they're both busy with their new jobs now so that gives them less time for blogging.

A local tv host, model, endorser, and celebrity blogger. Everyone who are close to me probably knows how I admire her so much because of so many things!! Of course, she doesn't know me personally but we exchanged tweets and emails when I won her blog giveaway wherein she personally had to choose the winners based on the answers to her question. I am so damn proud! Haha. I've learned a lot from her blog. She is true to herself and to her readers and she's a real family-person. She's that one celebrity that will make you say "celebrities are humans too, you know.."

Leighton Meester aka Blair Waldorf -- photo source

Ok, so I've read so much about Leighton and how her life had been. I've watched probably almost all videos on Youtube that has her on them. She's actually simpler in person that I can ever think of and she really has a nice singing voice. BUT her character on Gossip Girl is what influenced me more, not really more on her style because I know I won't be able to pull that off but actually more on her attitude. I know Blair was bitchy and self-centered most of the time but I love everything about her. She makes me more human! Does that sound funny? Haha. I love her keep-calm-and-move-on attitude. I love how she's transformed for the better as the show progressed. This is the first time I've included a fictional character on my list! Whoa!

Aside from winning the Ms. World 2013, I love how she really established herself as someone who has beauty and purpose. I've been reading all about her and watched several YouTube videos of her too. I was a bit obsessed. Haha! She is sooo inspiring and admirable. She inspired me to look for my real purpose and actually act on it. I love Megan!

 My parents and my siblings

It's just so heartwarming to know that whatever I have become, I can always be at home with this family. Although we don't live with each other anymore, they always make me feel that they support me and that I'm always a part of the family, nothing's changed. They're the best support system I have and I'm glad to know that I have these people who never judged me for whatever I've done wrong and will never judge me ifever I make mistakes. I miss them. This is probably the only photo we have recently as a family with my husband and son and was taken during my son's baptism. We aren't always complete since my brother and I don't live at home anymore.

My boys...

Being a wife and a mom has changed every single cell of my body. And these two always inspire me to be the best that I can be. If I have to live another life, I would still choose a life with them. My husband is a simple man with simple dreams, he keeps me grounded all the time, and has been so patient with me. I wouldn't mind living a life with obstacles as long as I'm with him, and as the song goes.. I'd rather have bad times with you than good times with someone else.

My son is my pain-reliever. He makes me crazy and overwhelmed at the same time. I've realized sooo many things about myself because of him. It's interesting how a kid can actually change your life -- for the better. I can't wait to experience each of his milestones next year.

So there you go!! I am happy as a bee right now. How about you? Do you create a similar list every year? If you haven't yet, you may wanna try! I'm excited to know your people of the year too! If you've been reading this blog, you're a part of my year too as blogging has become all the more a part of my life this year.

With this, I bring you my last post for the year as I will be celebrating the end of the year with a blast and I wish you all a Happy New Year! May you be blessed and may your life be filled with life-long experiences and happiness! Live. Laugh. Love.

Cheers!!!♥
