South Heritage Photowalk, also known as SouthWalk, is a lifestyle photography event organized by Drift Stories with the concept of experiencing the cultural and historical heritage of Southern Cebu. It's my first time to join and I must say that I truly appreciated it because I haven't really visited a lot of places in the South yet.
With SouthWalk, it's like a road trip to the South. We stopped by 7 destinations to explore and of course, take photos. Despite having only 3 hours of sleep, I managed to wake up at 4:00 AM to catch the sunrise at our first destination, which happens to be just 10-15 minutes away from my house.
If you love road tripping, then you're sure to have a gratifying adventure when visiting the South. Now let me give you a sneak peek of our photography trip!
1st Stop: Naga Baywalk
It was a gloomy Saturday so we didn't witness the sunrise at all. But such is life. Some things really don't happen. ;) Nonetheless, it was still a great day.
2nd Stop: Carcar
This is where lots of old houses are preserved and have stood the test of time. I love old houses and buildings (not necessarily go inside, lol!) because they possess a certain charm that I find so mysterious.5th Stop: Dalaguete
There's something about buntings (or banderitas in our language) that makes me dance inside. For me, it spells festivities and merry-making, and all sorts of happy things.6th Stop - Boljoon
This place gives me the feels. It totally feels like you're transported back in time. This is one of my favorite stops and I can't wait to show you why on my next posts. ;)7th Stop - Oslob
Another fave. The structures here are so picturesque. The chilly weather added to the giddy effect of being there. We wanted to catch the sunset here, but since it was raining, you guess it right.. no sunset at all.
That's about it for now! I'll have more stories and photos coming up soon. ♥
